Kalia Gisèle Littman Cohen is a visionary photographer and artist celebrated for her profound exploration of resilience, post-trauma growth, and the human spirit. Blending artistry with purpose, Kalia creates visual narratives that challenge conventions and inspire transformation.
Her most transformative project, SCARS, was a groundbreaking solo exhibition held at the historic Jaffa Port, drawing nearly 5,000 visitors in just seven days.
The exhibition, deeply personal and universally resonant, was inspired by a traumatic childhood accident that left Kalia with severe burns and emotional scars. At the age of eight, she spent a year hospitalized and endured years in gauzes, facing profound struggles with body image and self-acceptance.
Through SCARS, Kalia provided a platform for nearly 70 participants of diverse ages and backgrounds to reveal their scars and share their stories, many for the first time. A centerpiece of the exhibition was an intimate short film she created with her mother, capturing her return to the site of the accident. In an emotionally charged act of closure, Kalia unveiled her scars for the first time, handing over her gauzes to her mother—a moment of healing and transformation.
With over five years of freelance experience, Kalia has collaborated with iconic global brands such as Coca Cola, Adidas, Foot Locker, Boss, Rudy Project, New Era, and Wrangler. Her expertise spans creative direction, branding, and design languages, yet her artistic signature lies in her ability to craft deeply conceptual and impactful work—whether in commercial campaigns or personal projects.
Kalia’s art is a testament to the power of storytelling and transformation. Through her lens, scars—both visible and invisible—become symbols of strength, beauty, and growth, inspiring audiences to reimagine resilience in their own lives.
