Rose to Life
In this project, I ventured to the mystic Dead Sea, known for its extraordinary Dead Sea mushrooms. With personal significance tied to my name, Kalia, meaning "rose to life from the sea of death" in Hebrew, this location provided the perfect backdrop. Drawing inspiration from an outer space aesthetic, I aimed to create an ethereal atmosphere that aligned with the shoot's concept. Centered in my lens was a renowned Israeli rapper and singer name “Tzukush”, challenging the typical masculine portrayal associated with him. Seeking to reveal the full range of his persona, I captured his masculine and feminine sides, his determination to conquer the world, and his unwavering self-belief. This exploration aimed to break boundaries and showcase his authenticity in a unique and vulnerable light. The project showcased the captivating Dead Sea and the profound depths of the human spirit. By challenging stereotypes and inspiring viewers to embrace their complexities, I aimed to ignite a belief in their ability to conquer the world. Through unveiling the renowned singer in a multifaceted light, I aimed to evoke a sense of profound self-discovery and the courage to rise to new heights. These photographs were published in the magazine "17:23" located in Ukraine and received a front cover!
